I won’t lie, this is actually my own wish list, but the photographer in your life might enjoy receiving any of the items on this list under the tree this year. Maybe you won’t get the exact items on this list, but it will give you an idea at what kind of gear photographers are looking at this year.
I’m a Canon Woman through and through. I’ve been using Canon cameras since my analog days in art school back in the late ’70s. When I transitioned to using digital cameras I also went with Canon. I love the color and clarity I get with the sensors and I love the professional glass lenses. I have yet to use their Mirrorless Cameras, but I can’t wait until it lands in my hands to use. This camera also shoots video.
A small and lightweight travel tripod made from carbon fiber and designed with packing and hiking in mind. I personally need something that can work out in nature as well as shooting still lifes in the studio – and this tripod can work with me on both projects.
This tripod is great to use when hiking, traveling or even taking images on the fly. The legs are flexible so they can wrap around tree limbs, fence posts, or the top rail of a chair. There are a number of different sizes of the Gorilla Pod, this one will hold upt to 6.6 pounds.
Get creative with these beautiful glass lensballs.
For those who like to record and capture sound while they are working on projects.
For those of you who are using iPhones or mobile phones as your primary image making device:
Not quite just a selfie stick, as this device can be used for making videos – it will track the subject of the video. Lighter than previous models of the Osmo, it is now capable of being used for both the iPhone and Android phones.
Ever wonder how to get those images off of your iPhone without using the Cloud? This is the answer!
