The Goal:
The subject of our photographic journey this week will be Walls.
Walls contain us. Protect us. They serve a purpose. Walls can be made of many different materials. Stone, plaster, wood, glass, brick … They can be painted or plain. Patterned. The most interesting ones show their layers, in peeling painted colors. They can also be metaphorical, abstract, they can contain our prison or release us to freedom.
Things to look for when shooting: Walls with unique patterns, color, layers of peeling paint, age, etc.
Read through the Learning To See description to make sure you get why and how you are doing the challenge. Make sure that the composition of your images are 100% about the challenge.
Always experiment with variations on the weekly theme within the subjects of the challenge – composition, contrast, shape, texture, colors, light, shadow, perspective, framing …
If you have questions about this challenge, post them on the comments below and they will be answered there.
