This week the challenge is all about looking down.
The Goal:
The exact opposite of last week. You would be surprised at how many people never look down, directly down, to what they are walking on or flying over.
How often, as you walk through your day, do you look directly down? Not at an angle just below the horizon, but directly down?
Spend some time this week taking images looking directly down. These may be of the sidewalk, a path through the forest, a river flowing under a bridge, … let’s see what exists below us.
You can use your tripod for this if you want to, or experiment with ways to level the plane of your camera with the plane of what is below you. Please be careful if you happen to be rock climbing or cliff walking – no accidents, please!
Images can be in color or black and white.
Read through the Learning To See description to make sure you get why and how you are doing the challenge. Make sure that the composition of your images are 100% about the challenge.
Always experiment with variations on the weekly theme within the subjects of the challenge – composition, contrast, shape, texture, colors, light, shadow, perspective, framing …
