Review: My Octopus Teacher

Beautiful photography. Beautiful cinematography. Beautiful nature. Beautiful relationship. Emotion. A love story you’ve never seen the likes of.

In an hour and a half Craig Foster takes us to a place we have never been before – inside a friendship between an octopus and a human. The documentary is a meditation on being human within nature – a potentially hostile one. It tells of the change in himself that comes over the year of filming as well as his personal discovery and awareness of the intelligence of the Octopus. It’s a beautifully paced film with storytelling of a personal experience. The film follows most of the life of the Octopus.

Currently on Netflix. Was released on September 7, 2020.

Remember, you are wild.
