Learning To See: Out The Window

This week the challenge is all about the views out your window.

The Goal:

We’ve already done one Out The Window challenge in May. But that was spring and now it’s the end of autumn, so let’s pick up that challenge again.

Spend the week contemplating the compositions made by the windows in your house. Do the window frames frame the composition, or is it an expansive view? Experiment with composition, shifting your perspective, and your distance. Is your camera lens up against the glass, or are you sitting in your favorite chair or standing at your dining room table?

Read through the Learning To See description to make sure you get why and how you are doing the challenge. Make sure that the composition of your images are 100% about the challenge.

Always experiment with variations on the weekly theme within the subjects of the challenge – composition, contrast, shape, texture, colors, light, shadow, perspective, framing …

If you have questions about this challenge, post them on the comments below and they will be answered there.
