Chichen Itza is one of the most famous of the Maya archaeological sites that dot The Yucatan. This was the first archaeological site that I visited when I first landed on the peninsula. All of the little engravings, symbolism, and architectural elements of the site just pulled me in to wanting to visit every site whose path I crossed.
